    I got beans!

    I finally did my first full picking of beans...I got about 11-12 pints.  I got 9 canned, have one in the fridge and we ate the other with our own new potatoes! Yum!

    We have had unbelievable storms rolling through each day, so it's been hard to tend to the garden.  I will try and get out there and get somethings done today.

    We have daughter Jen coming for her first visit to this home later this week, and she is bringing her boyfriend with her for us to meet....kind of a "meet the parents" visit.  lol   She tries to never let us meet her boyfriends, so we know this one is serious.  He seems like a really nice guy from what we have heard.   Hope he likes us!

    Sounds like an amazing dinner...yummmmmm..I love fresh veggies!!!

    Yeah we've been getting storms real bad too...So where do we live? Florida?

    fantastic haul on the beans! I have blooms but no beans.

    enjoy your girlie and new boyfriend, I agree with Jody, you are good parents for her to bring him home.

    still just tiny beans here, but they have begun to show and I'm excited.
    Kaiha announced her sexcapade yesterday like it was nothing with all the details of a painter and my heart skipped a beat and I bit my tongue and was real happy when they went home. A parent can hope the new love will be a boyfriend around here. I'm not gonna get any more grandkids - at least I'm not holding my breath. :( Good luck with the visit.

    pssh... who wouldn't love you to pieces?? :D We had one pod of sweet peas the other day and it hit me... we should have planted beans!!

    The storms have been incredible here as well! Some of our corn was blown over yesterday... the winds were very strong. We are hoping to have some awesome veggies to bring to your house on Harvest!! :D
